Who are we?

New Millennium Development Services, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 Nonprofit Organization. The company was established on December 11, 1997 to revitalize the physical, economic and cultural conditions of depressed communities. Our mission is to create affordable housing opportunities, develop and integrate supportive programs focused on stabilizing families.

What We Do

New Millennium Development Services, Inc. company objective is to increase the number of affordable and livable houses in the Long Island, New York Community. We also enhance family stability and community empowerment.

Work History  

Dr. Andy C. Lewter, Jr. was appointed as the new President & CEO in May, 2019.  He previously served as a consultant since New Millennium’s inception in December, 1997. 

As President he is the general manager and chief executive officer of this corporation and has general supervision, direction and control of the organization’s activities and officers of this corporation.  

He is responsible for: Ensuring the organization’s activities are compliant and in furtherance of its mission,  Leading, managing, and developing the organization’s employees, volunteers, and organizational culture; Developing, implementing, monitoring, and assessing the organization’s programs (including their impact); Developing, implementing, monitoring, and assessing sound and compliant financial management practices (including budgeting); Developing, implementing, monitoring, and assessing sound and compliant fundraising practices, Developing, informing, and supporting the board and the board committees to carry out their governance functions; Ensures the Board’s directives, policies, and resolutions are carried out; Working with the development staff and Board in cultivating and soliciting major foundation grants and individual gifts; Developing and maintaining beneficial relationships with donors, funders ensuring effective external communications about the organization and its mission, priorities, importance, programs, and activities; Championing the organization and advocating its mission to internal and external stakeholders; Keeping informed and the organization’s leadership informed of significant developments and changes in the internal and external environment; Leading the organization’s planning processes; Ensuring legal compliance (including all required filings) and sound risk management practices.

Executive Director since December, 1997. New Millennium Development Services, Inc., Patchogue, NY, a 501(c) 3 Nonprofit Organization provides services in the areas of housing acquisition, construction, rehabilitation, and disposition services in connection with vacant parcels and vacant, abandoned, and foreclosed homes.  Also, a certified Modular Builder with Signature Building Systems which is a locally owned, custom modular home, commercial and institutional building manufacturer. There are over 20 years of experience in custom modular design, manufacturing and in excess of 4,500 structures built. Our state of the art processes and technology, volume purchasing power, exceptional value and innovative designs. Multi-Family structures can be customized with any floorplan.

Our Green Building System utilizes the Energy Star Program techniques such as the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).  

Additional responsibilities also include: Financial Decisions, Estimating & Preparing Bids, Negotiates Bonding & Insurance, Marketing & Sales, Human Resources,  Supervises Field Operations, Purchases Equipment & Supplies, Managing & Payroll, Negotiates Contracts Signatory for Business Account, Conference & Meeting, MWBE Coordination  Outreach/ Monitoring & Compliance, Marketing, Integrated Analytics & Proximity Marketing System.

Education Background

Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English & Political Science from Spelman College in May, 1984. 2018 Graduate of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Initiative.
